Philip Nishikawa Obituary

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Philip Takeshi Nishikawa, born March 20, 1939 in Sacramento, CA. Called to Heaven suddenly on January 12, 2016 in Pleasanton, CA. Survived by loving wife Shirley (Takehara) Nishikawa, daughter Allison Ida (Dave) and granddaughter Sarah of Irvine, CA., daughter Stephanie Yee (Kenneth) and grandson Miles of Sacramento, CA. Phil is also survived by his loving family and siblings which includes his mother Agnes Nishikawa of Sacramento, CA, sister Jane Reeves (Dr. Robert) of Tampa, FL, Dennis Nishikawa of Sacramento, CA, and Dr. Richard (Dr. Kathy) Nishikawa of Boulder, CO. Phil's infectious personality of corny jokes, quick wit and bent humor will be forever missed. Wherever he is, we know he has found his "Las Vegas Heaven" where he can duck hunt, bowl strikes, smoke cigarettes, drink coffee, gamble, watch reruns of old John Wayne movies and listen non-stop to the oldies but goodies rock and roll music. Services for Philip will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 5pm Buddhist Church of Florin 7235 Pritchard Road, Sacramento, California 95828.
