Phil was a mainstay of the humanist community for as long as I knew him, and always encouraged me in my writings. I even hoped he would be able to speak at my wedding, but unfortunately that didn't happen. This is a deep loss. Goodbye Phil, thanks for everything.

Some of my favorite memories with my Dad were out camping in Calaveras Big Trees (where we plan to spread his ashes), and camping in Mendocino, and Yosemite where we climbed Half Dome together twice! We also loved canoeing, star gazing, talking about classical music and life. I never remember him ever yelling at me or showing disappoint in anything I did. He always believed in me and was encouraging, patient, and kind. I'm so thankful he was was my Dad!!!
