HODGES, Rachel M.
We announce the passing of our matriarch, Rachel Hodges, who went to be with Our Lord Jesus Christ, passing away peacefully at age 91 on October 9, 2009. We were very blessed to have her with us all for so long. An extremely kind and generous person. Most important to Rachel was her family. She was an example of the greatest friend you could ever have. She was a loved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil John Hodges, and all of her four sisters and one brother. We will always hold a very dear and special place in our hearts for her. She leaves behind two daughters, Carol Hutchings & Barbara Jorgensen; her grandsons, Marty Sparling, John Sparling, Mike Sparling and granddaughter Kristie Meeks. She leaves twelve great-grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at 2:00pm at East Lawn Mortuary, 5757 Greenback Lane, Sacramento.
