Raymond JANG Obituary

JANG, Raymond Calvin
Dec. 29, 1923 - Jan. 13, 2012
Dear Grandpa, we love you. You will be deeply missed.
Your slow shuffle, your
presence and your kindness.
We will always remember you
picking us up from school,
Bringing hawflakes and goodies like the best grandpa's do.
I'd catch butterflies in
the yard while you tended to tomatoes and peas,
and then return inside to watch the news on TV.
Morning walks and stretches then sitting out in the sun,
then eating a sandwich with chips from noon to one.
Man of few words, but very wise, 'You see what I mean?' he would say with bright eyes.
He was a hardworking, dependable, simple man,
His life panned out according to plan. He raised a loving family and had lifelong friends,
He ran 'O.K. Radiator' from beginning to end.
Mellow and gentle and sweet he was too
He accomplished everything he set out to do.
He is now at peace and passed on content,
We should all be so lucky to have no regret.

Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Ray is preceded in death by his daughter Judith Jang-Berkholtz and survived by his wife of 64 years, Rose Jang, son Marc Jang, daughter-in-law Dr. Christine Jang and grandchildren Allyson and Alex Jang. Born in Locke, CA, Ray had 11 siblings including 6 sisters and 5 brothers.
Established in 1945, Ray was a partner in OK Radiator Service with the late William Carnes until the business was sold. Forever humble and pursuant to his wish, no service will be planned. A life celebration will be held by the family on Saturday, February 4, 2012.
