Carmichael, California - Robert Lee Bloise, a longtime resident of Carmichael, California passed away on Wednesday January 4, 2023 after a long battle with colon cancer. Robert was born in Fairfield, California on July 3, 1950 to Robert and Olga. Robert graduated from La Sierra High School in 1968 where he was known for his Tarzan call and impersonations of celebrities. Robert graduated from California State University, Sacramento in 1972 with a degree in History. He was a caddy at Del Paso Country Club during college then started a career working for UC Davis Medical Center for 38 years until he retired in 2010. Robert's hobbies were: History, Politics, Trap Shooting, TV Westerns and Murder Mysteries, and watching the San Francisco 49ers football team.
Robert was a fervent believer in Jesus Christ, and a passionate evangelist. He was known for passing out little red bibles and gospel tracts everywhere he went (to include public bathrooms). From 1982 to 2018, Robert led a church group at the UC Davis Annual Picnic where they would share the good news of Jesus Christ to the students and visitors in Davis, California. Robert hosted a radio program "Freedom and Prayer Time" on local radio station KFIA 710AM from 1985 to 1987 where he shared church history/ current events and prayed with callers. During his retirement years he shipped bibles and tracts all across the country in support of churches evangelistic outreach programs. In 2019, he was one of the editors for a Christian tract: "How Did We Get the Bible?"
Robert is survived by his wife of 35 years, Valerie, daughter Melissa, grandson, Elijah, and brother, Nick, all of Carmichael, California. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Rock of Roseville, 725 Vernon Street, Roseville, CA 95678 on Saturday March 4, 2023 at 2pm.
Robert will be deeply missed, however, he would want everyone to know he loved Jesus Christ, and he hoped everyone would come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. (2 Peter 3:9)
