CAMPBELL, Robert L 'Bob'
Age 65, of Ione. Born on September 23, 1945 in Everett, WA. Passed away on April 6, 2011 in Jackson, CA. Survived by daughters Lucinda Boliard (husband David) of Citrus Heights; LaLanea Escobar (husband Kevin) of Placerville, CA; son Robert Campbell of Citrus Heights; stepdaughters Sandy Carter and Cathy Friesen; brothers George, Don, Dave, Wayne, Wally, Steve, Harvey, William and Dennis; sisters Susan, Beverly, Thelma and Lorraine; grandchidren, Andrea, Gavin, Brenden, Jacob, Rebecca, Allison, Chante, Miranda and Jonathan; great grandchild Samuel, and friends of 59 years, Bud and Martha Hobbs of Oroville, CA. Worked for UC Davis as an auto mechanic for 40 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gold mining, western movies and camping. Visitation on April 13 5-8pm and services on April 14 at 11:30am, both at Milton Carpenter Funeral Home, 569 N. 1st St, Dixon, CA. Pastor Su Schlagel will officiate. Reception following the burial 1:30-3:30 at Veterans Memorial Hall, 1305 N. 1st St, Dixon, CA.

I thought of you today, but that is nothing new. I thought about you yesterday, and days before that too. I think of you in silence, I often speak your name. Robert was a wonderful guy whose laughter was contagious...I sometimes called him "dad" or "pops"...as he made me feel like I could talk to him about anything...and I did...I especially remember his kindness in lending his time and labor to fix my car a few times...the fun we would have just talking over a cold one and laughing about life. He will be missed by me, but memories I will always carry...will make me smile.

To all of the campbell family and friends, may all of you be comforted in the day's ahead while robert continue's his journey into life here after. I'ts been many years since our childhood and i can recall those wonderful fun times we have spent together doing the not so right things but sincerely doing the great things that has carried us through life. Lets hold close to those great times we have shared together and continue to embrace robert in our hearts and minds.

I know his son Bobby and and you know what they say. Like Father like son. Bobby Jr.is a great guy. And all you have to do is look at Robert L. "Bob" CAMPBELL's picture above and you can see that he has great joy despite the blows life has dealt. And look at the hawaiin reef. you can see he enjoyed having fun. Now his joy is complete in Christ Jesus and his eternal life is gonna be a blast. It's not the end. It's the beginning. He's found real gold! May your family find the treasue you now possess. Blessings on the family of Mr. Campbell. I know the sorrow you're feeling. I have lost my mom and dad not long ago. The are now in the City of pure Gold like Robert is
