Robert Fontaine Obituary

Robert "Bob" Fontaine was born in Nuremberg, Germany on May 14, 1949. He passed away in Carmichael on February 6, 2012. He was employed by the state, retiring from the State Lottery in 2002. He was an avid fisherman and a true barbeque nut. He never met a brisket or fish he didn't like. He also had a passion for race cars; from his own drag racing days to his son's quarter midgets. Bob loved his family, his dogs, and his life. Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Pearle Fontaine. He is survived by his loving wife, Debra of Carmichael; his children, Matt Fontaine of Modesto, and Ginna Fontaine of Moses Lake, WA; his step-children, Michael Arreola and Socorro Gaytan, both of Dallas, TX, Elena Lopez of Carmichael and Ervin Aviles of Gresham, OR; his father, Wilfred Fontaine of Moses Lake, WA; twelve grandchildren, and many extended family and friends that were dear to him. A memorial service will be held at Christ Community Church, 5025 Manzanita Ave in Carmichael on Sat. February 18 at 2:00 pm. Fish On, Bob!

Bob You will always be remembered for the happiness I know you brought to my sister. The debates you had with Sammy and keeping Belle in line on vacation. Letting mom beat you at cards so she wouldn't get physical with you lol. Rest in peace Bob

So what can we say about the Dog -
He Loved it, but then Hated it...
He'd call it, but then tell it to go away...
It's not dead yet, but wants to cremate it!

We Love U Uncle Bob...We Miss U!

Bob was a great person to Me -
He taught me how to line dance and two step...
He would take me fishing...but would get mad if I caught a fish before he would...
He loved to give my kids sweets and send them home hyper...
He made my family his family...
He shared his recipes with me...
He showed me the latest Toys he got or wanted...
And that's why I Loved Bob Sooo Much!
Thank You Bob, for the last 25yrs...

Bob,

You were so much fun to have around. Since we lived so far away we didn't get to see each other as much as we would have like to. We know you are in a great place, smiling down on Debbie and all your family and loved ones. We are going to miss you, but we are never going to forget you. When we think of you, there are going to be some great stories to relive! Have fun until we see you again! We love and miss you!

Uncle Bob loved to BBQ -
He would make my favorite...RIBS!
I would get BBQ sauce on my face, my hands, my hair and my clothes...
And he would say,"Give her another one!"
I love the way Uncle Bob thinks...
I love you sooo much and gonna miss you too!

Dear Debbie,
I'm so sorry for your loss. I know you loved him very much and you did everything you could for him. I didn't know Bob as well as you did but he was very good to me. He was generous and I'm sure he thought if I needed something, he would have got it for me. We had good times on vacation together etc. We had some good card games. You like to win as much as I do. We will always have our good memories of him forever & smile often.
Love & Prayers,
Mom
