Robert Myers Obituary

MYERS II, ROBERT LEE
Was called home by the Lord on September 27, 2003, following complications after a stroke. Robert was born in Goodrich, Michigan on February 3, 1950. When he as a young boy, the family moved to Southern California, eventually settling in Mission Viejo. Robert attended Foothill High School in Tustin for several years, but graduated from Mission Viejo High School in 1968. In the late 70's/early 80's, Robert moved to Sacramento where he owned Camellia City Gardening Service for several years. In 1984 he moved to Windsor in Sonoma County, CA, where he met and married his wife, Cynthia. While in Windsor, Robert worked for the Den-Ri Ranch and later owned and operated SnackAttack Vending Services. In 2002, Robert and Cynthia retired and moved to Spanish Springs, NV. Big-hearted, gentle and kind, Robert had a smile and a handshake for everyone he ever met. He could warm anyone's heart with his smile. He loved the outdoors, especially the mountains and the sea. He enjoyed fishing, camping and hiking and was active with his sons in the Boy Scouts for many years. He was always very concerned for the less fortunate and supported many Gospel missions and homeless shelters. In fact, he extended his hand in friendship and assistance to anyone who asked for his help. Robert loved the Lord and life with all of his heart. Robert leaves behind his wife of 18 years, Cynthia of Spanish Springs, NV; sons, Leif of Spanish Springs and Cameron of Cool, CA; his mother, Doris Myers of Antelope, CA; sisters, Karen Martin of Antelope, CA and Becky Foreman of Ohio and their husbands, Jerry and Daniel; nieces, Amanda Martin and Tammy Fassi; nephews, Jeremy Martin, Jason Harvey, and Josh and Jesse Myers; and extended family members in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and the Carolinas. Robert was preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Myers, and brother, Timothy Myers. He also leaves behind 'almost' son, Nathan Cordeiro of Spanish Springs; cousins, Ben and Gay Anderson of Temecula, CA; brother-in-law, Dennis Nutter of Riverside, CA; three children sponsored through Compassion International, Joseph, Hans and Sheeba; his loyal dog, Yoda; and many, many friends. Know that he loved all of you with all of his heart. A Celebration of Robert's Life will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2003 at 2:00pm at Church of the Valley - Tabernacle Baptist Church, 301 W. Whyte, Roseville, CA. Friends are invited to gather informally after the service for refreshments. In lieu of flowers, people may remember Robert by donating to their favorite charity or the Reno-Sparks Gospel Mission, 2115 Timber Way, Reno, NV.
