My condolences to the entire Nickum family. I met Bob in 1956 while we were both in the Army. Bob was a good friend and good Soldier. After leaving the military we lost touch for several years, but fortunately I ran into him one day in downtown Dixon. We had lunch and talked about old times. Bob was always a great guy and will be missed by all who knew him. I am sorry he is gone, because he cannot be replaced. He told me once while in the army, that he bought the little Red Thunderbird to be Cool, but he didn’t need it, he was Cool anyway. Godspeed Robert, Godspeed.
