I always enjoyed a chat with Bob and Doris when they were the first to show up at our local Moose for our monthly Franklin Dance Club evening with the "Bib Band".

Thank you for all your kind words about my beloved daddy, Bob Reese. His amazing talents ran a wide range. From his delightful sense of humor, story writing/telling, artisan-ship, to his unsurpassed drumming talents, he never missed a beat. Much love

Bob was the most musical drummer I have ever heard. He never really needed the music. He had an innate talent for knowing how to kick a big band. What a joy. Doris was beside him, managing the drum book and playing maracas on latin tunes. Bob's spirited personality and playful grin made our get togethers with him and Doris fun and enjoyable. We laughed a lot. They were an inseparable team who always seemed to look at each as if they had just fallen in love all over again. What an inspiration. Bob, I will always think of you as "the world's greatest drummer."

Bob was the finest big band drummer that I have ever seen in my lifetime. His contribution to the band was unparalleled. His wife, Doris Jean, by his side at every rehearsal and gig made his career complete. He was a good friend and I will miss him.

I joined the 30's 40s 50s dance band when I was in the beginning years of college. Being a fairly new trombonist at the time, and very new at playing the music of this era, Bob and Dorris were always knew how to make me feel extra welcome. His humor, his smile, his fantastic drumming, always made playing rehearsals and gigs with this group extra fun. You will be missed, dear friend!
