HAGOPIAN, Rose
Born July 12, 1914 in Cranston, Rhode Island. Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 31, 2011 in Sacramento, California. Loving wife for 72 years of Joe Hagopian Jr. and mother of Linda Jenkins and Karen (Rick) Bertram. Adored grandma of Mike (Lillian) Bertram, Grant Oliver, Lori (Marcus) Escobosa, Mark (Gwen) Jenkins and Craig Jenkins and proud great-grandma of Ryan, Nicholas, Joey, Megan, Susanna and Thomas. A reception to share memories of Rose will be held on Thursday, February 3rd from 1 - 3:00 P.M. at the Carlton Plaza, 1075 Fulton Avenue, Sacramento. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rebuilding Together, P.O Box 255584 Sacramento, CA 95825-5584.

Rose and Joe were long time friends of my parents. I have known them both most of my life. Rose gave my mother her Rice Pilaf recipe and, to this day, I cook it often. Over the last few years, I have seen Rose and Joe often. Rose was a special lady and I will miss her. Every time I would visit her, she would offer me something to drink or something to eat.
In fact, it was hard to say no to her.
She was a very generous, giving person.
My thoughts are with her family at this time. If there is a golf course in Heaven, I'm sure Rose is out on it at this very moment. However, it would probably have to be a short "Land Park" type of course.
