Sacramento, California - Sidney Singleton, 75, passed away unexpectedly January 7, 2022, at UC Davis Hospital. He was born 11/11/1946, in New Orleans, Louisiana, the son of the late Lawrence Singleton and Violet Carter Singleton.
Sidney graduated from Carver High School class of 1965. Following graduation, he served with the U.S. Air Force. He graduated from Southern University in New Orleans with a BS degree in accounting in 1977. Sidney enjoyed poetry and golf. He had a black belt in Karate. A friend said, "When Sidney hit you, he put the pain on you!" He loved spending time with his children and grand-children. He married his best friend Wanda Farria in 1988. They celebrated 33 years of marriage June 18, 2021.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter Wanda; brothers Clarence, Lawrence, Samuel, Frank, Ben, Ronald and sister Shirley. Surviving in addition to his wife, Wanda Singleton, are sons, Dewey, Lester (Melissa), Sidney Jr. (Ashley); daughters, Gizelle (Darrin),Karen (Lionel), Mahogany, Raquel; 4 brothers, Lester (Katherine), Alfred (Gwen), Cedric (Carol), Ernest; one sister, Viola and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Sidney was a wonderful friend and classmate. I always enjoyed his lovely poems at our reunions. My condolences to his lovely wife Wanda, his children, grandchildren and his other family members. We now have another angel in heaven to look after us.
