Stephan Styduhar Obituary

Stephan Thomas Styduhar, born February 6, 1961, passed away October 24, 2025, in Newbury Park, California, his home away from Pueblo, Colorado. He is survived by his wife Jennifer Bucsis-Styduhar, mother Hedda, father James, brothers Kenneth and Gregory, sisters-in-law Melissa Styduhar (nee Thiebaut) and Katharine Graczyk, brother-in-law Mike Graczyk, nephews Leo and Bear Styduhar, nieces Cambria Graczyk, Tula and June Styduhar, childhood friend Scott Monroe, Nila, Gidget, Tripod and all the friends and family that loved him. Preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Gary and Barbara Bucsis.

To those who knew Steve, he did everything with intensity. Whether obtaining his geological engineering degree from Colorado School of Mines, qualifying for multiple personal water craft world championships, scuba diving around the world, traveling to new places, obtaining his electrical engineering degree from University of Dayton and master's degree from Sacremento State, devoting himself to his family and animals, exploring nature, shucking oysters, or eating Pueblo green chile, Steve tackled everything with dedication and passion.

Steve's life work was as diverse as his interests. He lifeguarded, landscaped, and improved homes. He worked for the Air Force after graduating from Dayton as an electrical engineer. Later, he worked as a telecommunications engineer for California's Department of Transportation where he helped maintain the State's telecommunications infrastructure.

Indebted to have known and loved Steve, he will always be with us. We love you Steve.
