I remember Steve fondly from our growing up years. He was my second cousin but it seemed like we were closer due to our ages. We used to gather at Grandma Green's (Aunt Sibyl's) on weekends and have a blast. We would visit with Granny, run around and just be goofy together. I especially remember going to Genevieve and Marylyn's house regularly and playing in their back yard or going to Susan and Steve's and hanging out there. Steve took me on my first motorcycle ride and I was thrilled and scared at the same time. I remember thinking that I would fall off going around the corners but he was a good driver and very reassuring. I was disappointed to miss Grandma's 90th birthday party last summer and so missed seeing Steve. We had lost touch over the years but Grandma always kept me up to date. We recently reconnected and I am sad that he is no longer here. I will keep many fond memories of him and our youth.
