Steven Foltz Obituary

FOLTZ, Steven

On a sunny Saturday morning, his heart failed and he was gone, February 25, 2006, at his home in Sacramento. Our Steve was born in Bethlehem, PA on January 9, 1960. He was taught love, loyalty and honor by his parents Richard and Betty, and siblings Glenn and Kim, and through the experiences he shared as a traveler and hiker. And someone taught him that smile...Thank You.

In his youth he moved to Sacramento as an adventure, also spending time in Portland, OR, Port Angeles, WA, and back to Bethlehem once or twice, attending the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Lincoln Technical Institute along the way. He finally came back to us in 1999, and stayed. Here be relaxed into himself, enjoying his interests in movie musicals, photography, woodshop, and his amused search for the truth which lies behind the beauty of his life. Oh, can you believe it? He lit our days with piano and laughter; in the evening he glowed with warm charm; his strength sustained our nights.

Steven is survived by his Partner of 6 years, Brad Beall of Sacramento, CA; parents Richard and Betty Foltz of Bethlehem, PA; brother Glenn Moyer of Virginia Beach, VA, with wife Cathy and son Ian; sister Kim Foltz-Orlando of Sydney, AUS, with husband James and children Zachary, Matthew and Isabel; aunts, uncles and cousins - Dr. James Shafer of Melbourne, FL, with wife Virginia, Mrs. Mary Ochs of Phillipsburg, NJ, with husband Charles and children Marilyn, Jacqueline and Susan, Mrs. Helen Misanek of Timonium, MD, with husband Lawrence, Mrs. Janet Schwar of New Port Ritchie, FL, with husband Lester and children James, David and Terry, Mrs. Doris Galle of Bethlehem, PA, with wife Joan and children Beverly and John; Mr. Donald Foltz of Cherry Hill, NJ, with wife Patricia and children Betsy and Patty.

Steve's happiness was the result of his associations with so many wonderful people that we could not possibly list them all here, but we wish to give special mention to Steve's "BOLT Buddies" and his treasured coworkers at the California Cafe at Arden Fair Mall.

And so we must say goodbye to the one we love by having Memorial Services on Saturday, March 4, 2006 at 10:30 AM, at Saint Michael's Episcopal Church, 2140 Mission Avenue, Carmichael, CA. 488-3550.

Go with all Godspeed, my sweet,
and there rest, until we meet again

Steve,

From Indian Guides through an incredible amount of adventures most people could never imagine, you have been the best of friends.

I never had one as good or as long. We could not talk for 20 years, but as soon as we were together, it was the same as if we had seen each other every day of that time. I will truly miss you.

I really don't know what else to say. Wish we could have had at least one more of those nutty adventures. Maybe when I see you in heaven we can.

I knew from the moment I heard dance music coming from your condo that we would be friends instantly and for many years to come! However, it seams that God had other plans for my neighbor and friend. I wish I could tell you how much I have enjoyed living next to you and Brad, chatting across our balcony's, swimming in the pool and checking out hotties in the hot tub below. You will be missed forever!
