Granite Bay, California - Steven Gall, our beloved husband, father, grandpa, brother, and friend, was called home to the Lord on March 25, 2025 at the age of 68. He was a pillar of strength and integrity, a person of unwavering Christian faith, and a devoted family man who lived his life with love, purpose, and a bottomless well of joy.
Born in Whittier, California the day after Christmas in 1956, Steve was a gift to those who were lucky enough to know him. He graduated from Willamette University in 1979 and the University of Washington Foster School of Business in 1983. He joined USA Properties Fund in 1984 and spent most of his career there, building affordable housing, until his retirement in January 2025.
On a work trip to Memphis, Tennessee, Steve met Nell Elizabeth "Betsy" Johnson and his life changed forever. After a whirlwind courtship, Steve and Betsy married in April 1987. They spent the next 38 years side by side, showing the world how true love looks on one adventure after the next.
Steve is survived by his beloved wife Betsy; his sons Spencer, Taylor, and Chase; daughters-in-law Rebecca and Chloe; and his grandchildren Judah, Jonah, Katherine, and Benjamin. Steve could hardly wait to meet his fifth grandchild this August.
A service to celebrate Steve's life will be held at Bayside Church in Granite Bay on Thursday, April 3 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, we invite you to honor his memory by spreading kindness, sharing your faith, and embracing the joy he carried in his heart.

Steve was a great friend, fraternity brother at Beta Theta Pi at Willamette, fellow golf and music enthusiast, and solid person who inspired me to do better. Rest in peace Brother!

Although I did not know Steve well, his mother was my dear friend in retirement, We shared family memories that mostly included our children. The Galls are so closely knit and will hold each other up during this time of such sadness. I will keep each of you in my thoughts and prayers.

My brother Phil Woodward and Steve were good friends, they attended Mar Vista Elementary together, East Whittier Jr. High and then Cal-Hi. Steve was kind and had a gentle soul, I know In my heart that Steve and my brother Phil are having a grand time in Heaven.....
