I miss you so much Tammy. Community Care Licensing is not the same without you there. But your Clerks are better women to have known you. And we are even closer because of our loss of you. We work together in memory of you. We stand together because God used you to set us up in place. I was your last assignment. And I will always be eternally grateful. Love you always - Carlita Lawson

Two days ago I was shocked by the news of Tammy's death. I was rendered speechless until today.
Since I retired in December 2000, Tammy and I would have lunch or talk on the phone to catch-up on what was going on in our lives. I will miss our spiritual conversations, gospel music and her sharing of her church's daily prayer calendar.
Although, I now have tears of sadness that reminds me of Tammy's encouraging smile and confident walk with the Lord, it has been a blessing to have had her as a co-worker and friend.
To Tammy's family I extend my heartfelt sympathy and the comfort of knowing the Lord's promise to take care of His own...He will NEVER leave or forsake His children.
May God Bless,

When I think back to the farthest depths of my child hood memories, Tammy was there. We played and chased each other around the playground at Fairbanks Elementary School. We saw each other every morning in registration class at Las Palmas and Norte -- our last names started with R. Tammy was one of the nicest and sweetest people I had ever known. I feel like I've lost a sister. It does give me peace of mind to know that now she sits with God in Heaven. I will always remember Tammy Rios.

I remember the first time I saw you in church. I said "hey that is Lorna's Aunt Punkin". Forever I thought that was your name. I later learned in church that you were Tammy. You were such a wonderful person, so full of life. Punkin you will forever live in my heart.

My heart felt condolences on Tammy's passing. Tammy and I worked together at DSS State Hearings for several years before she moved to a different location. Tammy was always fun and upbeat and could make you laugh and smile even when you were having a bad day. May she rest in peace and sing and dance with the angels.

To the family of Tammy (punkin). I don't remember when we first met we grew up in the same neighborhood and she was 2 years younger. However, we had developed a friendship we kidded around at times and I called her my niece then I went away to college in SCAL and we did not stay in touch. She had a great laugh and had a warm heart.
May she rest in peace.

Im not sure where to begin, after hearing about the loss of Tammy. My heart is broken, just broken. I often thought about Tammy and her family, but never reached out to call or write just to say hello. I had no excuse, because the family has maintained the same home number since we were in elementary school.
I should know being a man of God that, when someone is placed on your spirit, you should not delay, but respond. Im sorry Lord for not responding.Tammy was a woman of God , so I know she has forgiven me over the many years she did not hear from me.
Im sorry I was not able to make the service, but my condolences to the family that I have known for many year-Love You all.

I was so sorry to hear about the loss of Punkin. We met in High School and became instant friends. And, although we did not "hang out" all the time, we frequently enjoyed sharing laughs, our frustrations, and held a deep respect for each other. Through the years after graduation, whenever we ran in to each other it always felt like we had just spoken the day before; we just picked up where we left off. What I loved most about Punkin was her genuine and kind spirit. She was always kind to others and I truly admired her for that.
Although I believe Punkin is in a much better place, and happier beyond our comprehension, it does not take away the empty, sad feeling inside my heart. I will miss her deeply and will think of her often for the rest of my life.
May God Bless all of you, comfort you, and give you strength to endure your tremendous loss.
With love,
Robbie Jackson

I was very sad to her about Tammy's passing. She was such a fun loving person. We would see each other during Office Services Supervisor conferences, meeting and trainings. Tammy was always a wealth of information. I didn't get to talk to or see her often but we always shared a laugh when we did talk. I'm happy to hear that she accepted Christ. I know I will see her again. My prayers go out to her family. And May the comfort of God be with you all.

To your entire family I send my deepest sympathy and condolences. Words can never heal a wound of such great magnitude but be rejoiced in the fact that she has indeed returned to her creator and be thankful that God allowed her presense among us all. Be blessed by her memory. May God strengthen you all during this difficult time.

I met Tammy some years ago and was blessed to work with her on Prayer Retreats to Wolf Mountain. We became even more friends when she found out I was married to one of the Owens' who she had a great kindred relationship with the family. Even though I have not seen her for some time I will always remember her with fondness. She was very comical and kept a smile on my face. May God give her family peace to know that their daughter, sister, aunt, cousin was loved by so many.

Now if I can only be ready as you were. I love you Tammy always have. Your life will live on forever.

Punkin, I'm heart broken. We enjoyed sharing good times, bad times, watch collections and stupid stories over the years. I met Tammy at a state seminar for Office services supervisors...15yrs ago... we've been in each other's life since. I could always feel her smile through e-mails and telephone calls. She will be missed. I miss her...

To the family of Tammy (Punkin) Rios, I was saddened upon receiving an email today and learned of Punkin's passing. It's been a long time since I have been in contact with the Rios family, but the hurt is none the less. I grew up with the children of this family and often referred to them as my cousins.
Please know that my prayers are with your family in your time of grief, and I will pray that Punkin has a smooth transition into her new home residence, the place we call heaven. It is eerie that I thought of this family over the past weekend. In my mind wondering how each one was doing at this point in life, and today I learn of this.
Please feel free to contact me here in Washington State, I would like to let you know I care. (253) 651.5848
Love Always,

To The Family of Tammy Rios:
Tammy and I worked together in DSS for over 10 years. We became REAL friends when Tammy discovered that I was the niece of her first boss at the first job she ever had. Whenever one of us had a problem, we knew we could discuss it and get to the "real" solution--because neither of us held back. We laughed, cried, celebrated and loved each other. When we disagreed, I would go to her office and tell her "I love you anyway" and she would crack up laughing and everything would be fine. She also called me her sister--as with Andrea--except she called me her black sister. She truly treated me like her sister. Needless to say, I will so miss her. But I also know that her religion was her rock and that she had plans to go straight to heaven. So until we meet again.........

I've always know Tammy by "T" She's always been a very good friend to me. Every time I was feeling down, chatting with her after work would always bring up my spirits. I am sad to lose a good friend and would miss her deeply. But I know that she valued her family and friends and would bless us where ever she may be. She would not like to see us sad for long as she liked bringing laughter to our lives. May she rest peacefully in gods arms.

Wow, I'm so sad I cannot make it to the services tomorrow. I met Tammy when I was just coming into my teenage years at the age of 13, when our church just revamped our youth choir and joined the California Conference Choir. I always looked forward to carpooling with Allen Chapel and Murph Emmanuel to rehearsals to listen to Rev. Sanders play that piano and Tammy, with her comical prespectives, who nicknamed me "dingy" :o) Now at the age of 38, and even though it's been years since I've actually spoken with her, she would still always send me emails that said, I love you and of different church events in Sacramento. Her way of letting me know, she was still thinking about me. I would always ask about her and get updates from my sister LaTrenda since they would always go see the new Tyler Perry movies together on opening day. Just recently, Tammy and I were conversing through email and found out we lived in the same area, but still never got a chance to hook. Tammy always lived in the Spirit and not in the flesh and blood, therefore,I have not doubt and know it is well with her soul. I will miss receiving her emails, however, I still treasure and will keep the ones I have, since her memories are my blessings. My condolences to the family.
I love you Tammy,
Love "dingy"

Wow... I am at a lost for words... I just don't know where to begin. Tammy( Tam Tam). I met Tammy some years ago through her sister Laurie. Tammy had such an infectious spirit that will forever live in my heart. She was indeed the life of all the events the family ever had. I will miss her Marilyn Monroe rendition of " Happy Birthday". She always carried a smile on her face and was so comical. I will remember our conversation while she was in the hospital. She was so happy to see me and we laughed and I cut up her food for her while she lay in the bed. She gave me the name " cougar" and I won't ever forget her. Tammy I am going to miss you so much, but I know that you are now resting in Jesus. I am an extended family member and I love this family to life. Hey, let's celebrate her life. May the peace of God that surpasses all understanding be with us all that loved and had gotten to know such a beautiful person. To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord. I love you all. God Bless
