Thelma Neuschafer Obituary

NEUSCHAFER, Thelma Louise Died April 25, 2005. Born Thelma Louise Robertson on October 11, 1930 to James & Lela Robertson in Boulder City, Colorado. Thelma's mother died of an embolism when Thelma was about 6 weeks old. She and her siblings (Jim, Helen and Jean) were placed in an orphanage by their father while he went to Hawaii to find work. She was adopted by the Thers and then returned back to the orphanage. Thelma's father by then had remarried and came back to take her from the orphanage. She lived with her dad & stepmother (Jessie) until her father died when she was 13. She then went to live with her stepbrother Herbert while her stepmother recuperated from TB. Thelma married Franklin P. Richerson when she was 17 years old. She had four children, Pauline Lafaille (John), Michael Richerson (Peggy), William Richerson (Delphina), and Robert Richerson (Pam). Thelma divorced in about 1970. In 1973, Thelma married Julius Neuschafer. Thelma was preceded in death by her brother Jim Robertson & sisters Jean LaLonde & Helen Isenberg & her husband Julius Neuschafer. She is survived by her daughter and her sons and her stepson, Brian Neuschafer (Cindy) and stepdaughter Juella Luque (Ed) & numerous nieces & nephews & grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday, May 21 in Cornerstone Church, 11111 Dry Creek Road, Auburn, CA.
