Dear Peggy, Phillip & Debbie, Charlie and family, Paula, Paul and I rejoice with you in knowing that a GREAT MAN of FAITH, who demonstrated that FAITH by his HARD WORKS for his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ over the years, has entered Glory with a loud choir of Angels singing because Vastine made sure his witness lead people to Salvation!
We will always be most grateful to him, Peggy and the family for your faithful and unswerving support for us in Developing and Operating Capital Mountian Christian Camp!!
We join with Jim Reber in saying GLORY!
We love you and will keep you in our prayers!

My heart goes out to the Smith family. Philip, I only met your Dad the one time, but he was so warm and friendly to me. Praying that your saddened hearts will heal remembering all the good times. He is home with Jesus and you will certainly join him when you are called. Love to you all. Bonnie Jones (Debbie's sister).

I am so blessed to know Vastine for so many years and my thoughts and prayers are with the family. Vastine and Peggy are such a beautiful couple and I always admired how much they loved and supported each other. I enjoyed growing up with their children, Charlie, Patti and Phillip, and knowing their family has greatly enriched my life. Vastine is a such a caring, sincere and generous man and it's a privilege to know him. We'll see you again Vastine . . .

Peggy: Your loss was heavens gain. No one could replace him. He was truly one of a kind who would persevere on a project when others would just give up. Capital Mountain was a perfect example of this. BLM didn't know what hit them when Vastine started negotiating for ownership of the camp.I used to love to listen to him tell me about it. Bob Erickson
