Vera Loehr Obituary

Vera C. Loehr died peacefully at home on June 13, 2013 after a lengthy illness. She was 91. Born in Eureka, she was a long time resident of Fair Oaks. She first came to the area in 1944-45 to teach at San Juan High School after graduating from College of the Pacific (now UOP). She returned with her husband Burt and two children in 1955. She resumed teaching in 1965 and taught at Del Campo High School for 20 years. She was an active member of The League of Women Voters and was recently recognized for 50 years of distinguished service to that organization. Vera is survived by Burt, her husband of 68 years, sons Burt and Fred, grandchildren Jeff and Cheryl, great-grandchildren Kenneth and Frida and brother Vernon Oeschger.

Sorry to hear of Vera, this is Michael Somerset of Sheffield England originally . I lived in Southern California and now Charlotte east coast. I tryed calling them at home today January12th to chat as it's been along time and the number discontinued. Vera was my mothers 2nd cousin( Mary and Bill Somerset) and have fond momories of my 1st visit and other times after my move to the USA. Please could someone let me know of Burt and contact info . Vera was a wonderfull person my heart aches not calling sooner. Michael Somerset ( Mick) .
