KERIN, Victoria Marie
Victoria 'Vickie' Marie Kerin passed away unexpectedly on December 6, 2012, at the age of 59 in Sacramento, CA. Born on March 20, 1953 in the Bronx, New York. The family moved to W. Sacramento (Broderick) when she was four. Preceded in death by her parents Frank Kerin and Evelyn Heinowitz Kerin, sister Sandra Filbert, and brother Chris Kerin. She is survived by her brother Jeffrey Kerin, brother-in-law, John Filbert, her companion Floyd Ortiz, and beloved dog, Bendi. Known affectionately as 'Aunt George' to her niece Amelia, and nephews Isaac and Micah Hayes. Vickie worked for the State of California for over 30 years. Vickie was a member of American Mensa, the S.P.C.A. & the Retired Public Employees Assn of CA. A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 15, at 1:30pm at The First Evangelical Free Church, 5300 Madison Ave., Sacramento. Vickie will be remembered as a loving woman with a giving, kind heart. She will be dearly missed, but always remembered. Vickie was one of my best friends in high school. We had almost every class together every year since it was such a small school. She was funny, intelligent and a great friend. I looked for you at the last reunion, but you weren't there. May you rest in peace, George!

I was saddened to read about the passing of Vickie. I remember Vickie from working with her at the Victims of Crime agency, and also attending high school with her. She was funny and very bright! Rest in Peace, Victoria (Vickie).

I worked with Vic at Victims of Crime many years ago, & we remained friends & talked periodically on the phone. She created a wonderful photo album for me a few years ago, when I was married. I treasure those pictures & my memories of the time that we spent together over the years .I'll miss her laugh & just knowing that she was out there when I wanted to talk . .

Vickie was a devoted loving and generous aunt to my niece, Amelia and nephews, Isaac and Micah, and a thoughtful life-long family friend. I'll always treasure the memory of Vicki attending the births of Isaac and Micah, and how she lovingly watched over Amelia. Rest in peace, dear Vicki.
