Victoria LoPRESTI Obituary

LoPRESTI, Victoria Winifred
Died peacefully in San Fran- cisco on April 18, 2011, surrounded by her loving and devoted friends. The daughter of the late Tom and Ruth LoPresti, her life began in Sacramento on June 9, 1952. With her father's passion for golf, Vicki's childhood was filled with junior golf activities and tournaments throughout California. Her many memorable rounds during her lifetime included golf with Arnold Palmer and Perry Como. Some of her happiest times were spent on the golf course with her dad or dear golfing friends. During her life she was a devoted daughter, loving niece, loyal friend, incredibly gifted designer, accomplished golfer, and gourmet cook. In Sacramento she attended St. Philomene Elementary School, Loretto High School, then on to the University of Nevada, and the University of San Francisco. San Francisco had been her home since her graduation with a successful showroom and design business at the Galleria. With Victoria's innate sense of style & star-quality personality, she created beauty anywhere and would light up a room when she entered it. Her charm, style, grace, wit, listening ear, and gift of making the ordinary extraordinary will be tremendously missed by all the lives she touched. All who were blessed with her love and friendship will be forever grateful for the privilege of having her in their lives. She is survived by her aunt Frances Whitney of Carmichael; 'boys', Marco and Zorro; and many dear friends and family. A celebration of Victoria's life will take place at a later date.

I knew Vickie through the Galleria years and I was very saddened to hear of her much too early death. I will always remember her for her beauty, her love of life and her sense of humor--that laugh!! I hope that she and Jack Anderson are having some laughs in heaven now.

Dear family and friends of Vicki, I got to know her before I went to grammer school ( St. Philomene's) through a lady that used to babysit for both of us. Then I ended up at St Philomene's and then Loretto with her. I was a year older than her but I always remember her as a kind, generous and very funny person. She will be sadly missed.
May she rest in peace. Mona Costi

As someone who dearly loved this woman for many, many years, I am so saddened by this premature ending of her life. I will always cherish the many memories of all the great times we had over the years and will always regret not being able to put the finishing touches on our relationship. Bill Bishop

I went to elementary and high school with Vicky; we were good friends and I remember many sleepovers at her house. She was the only one I knew who had a pool and a maid. What great parties we had as kids there. Seeing this obit makes me sad but brings back such great memories. She was a treasured part of Loretto, class of '70.

I remember the "Fishman" when I was a child living on Miller Ave. in South City. What a wonderful memory of those long gone days. There was the Rag Man Ross who lived way up on Grand Ave.

Did not know the decease but She had a

My condolences to the Lopresti family. I remember her dad who was also known as "Mr. Golf". I remember the stories told by the Davis' who were her fathers neighbors when he was a child. The person I remember mostly was her grandfather who was the "Fishman" who would drive his old black truck through So.City selling fresh fish. An interesting family indeed.
