Vincent Chin Obituary

CHIN, I, Vincent Charles

Vincent Charles Chin I, of Rocklin, died peacefully at home, with his wife and friends by his side on Friday, April 26, 2013. He leaves behind his wife, Tiffany, infant son Vincent Charles, Chin, II, beloved dog Mirabelle, parents Lucille and Yearn (Tom), his brother Alvin, and sister's Peggy, and Regina, nephews, Cole and Christopher, and nieces Taylor and Megan.

He was born in San Francisco, CA where he and his family lived until 1965 in China Town. He and his family moved to Foster City, CA in 1965 where he grew up. Vince graduated from San Mateo High School in 1975. He continued his education by attending U.C Davis and then transferred to Hayward State University where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Accounting. Vince worked for a large Accounting firm, after completing college, for two years and then joined the California society of CPAs, a non-profit organization, where he worked for over 20 years and was loved by all. His hobbies were a big part of his life in which he was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed a lot of his time up in Clear Lake fishing for Bass.

Family and friends are invited to his memorial service, Friday, May 3, 2013 at 1:00 PM, at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes, 4701 Marysville Blvd. Sacramento, CA 95338. Reception to immediately follow.

I'm so very sorry to hear of Vince's passing. I remember him as a very gentle, kind person, all the way from grade school through high school. I just always remember him with a smile. Rest peacefully now, as you fought the fight ~ now it's time for the sun to shine eternally on you. May your family find our Heavenly Father's love a source of strength through this very difficult time.

I ran into some San Mateo High Alums last night at AT&T park who told me about Vince's passing. I'm so sorry to hear about him going so soon. We had a lot of fun and I always enjoyed getting all of the food together for his annual Christmas party he'd throw in Redwood Shores. I heard there might be a memorial near San Mateo as well. If so, I'd love to hear about it. Rest in Peace my friend.

I am sorry to hear about Vince's passing. It has been many years since I have seen Vince, but I still have laugh out loud memories when a group of us use to hang out. One in mind is when Cathy & Greg were living in Idaho. Mike, Vince and I went to visit them. A matter of fact he used my boyfriend's airplane ticket--pre-911 they didn't even ask for ID then. He always had that confidence that people didn't question.

We were in Sun Valley, midweek and Vince knew that there were suites unsold at the hotel. Rather than split up into rooms, he managed to negotiate a great price for a beautiful suite that we could all fit. That evening, we played a charade type game and were shouting ridiculous answers and laughing so loud that the front desk called and visited the room asking us to keep the partying to a minimum....of course the game and loudness continued. The next morning the front desk apologize profusely about the raging party near us (with exagerated details) and sorry if they disturbed us....I guess they figured it could not have been us.

Fond memories.....Rest in Peace, Vince.
