I remember Russell as a kid visiting with our Mom, Gertrude Mills in Asheville, NC..we thought of him as a brother. How sad that we could not be with all of you in your time of sorrow.

To Mickey and the Steel clan: Although I can’t be with you on Saturday to say goodbye to Russ, I will be keeping you all in my thoughts. The photo you chose for the guest book is the way I want to remember Russell – with a gleam in his eye and a smile. Mickey, I have always admired the way you lead your family. Although you may not feel as strong as we all know you are right now, my prayer and wish is that time will heal your loss and bring you peace.
Sincerely,
Janet Rylander-McClure

So sorry to hear about Russ! So many great memories of him in the kitchen down at the Bluegrass Sportsman's Leaque. And making all the guys Beer Cheese at Xmas, I'll never hear Beer Cheese again without thinking about Russ! My thoughts are with his family..
