Barbara Andera Obituary

GREAT VALLEY - Barbara Fuller Andera was born in Springville on July 18, 1939, in her grandmother's farmhouse, and passed away Saturday (Jan. 7, 2023).

She married Francis C. Andera on Sept. 24, 1955, in Eddyville. They had 54 years of marriage before he passed away Dec. 31, 2009.

Barb and Francis operated a dairy farm in Great Valley for 51 years. She continued to farm until 2012.

She was a longtime member of the Great Valley United Methodist Church, now the Community Church of Great Valley, where she was secretary and the food lady for many years. She baked pies and other baked goods for farm market stands for over 30 years. She was on the Board of Directors of the Cattaraugus County Farm Service Agency for over 22 years, was a member and past president of the Ellicottville American Legion Auxiliary. She was on the board of directors of the REAP Farmers Market and raised many foster children.

She is survived by her son, Christopher (Cathy) Andera; and grandchildren, Brooke (Ryan Morgan) and Nathan. She raised her brother, Rex (Debi) Fuller; and was grandmother to Joshua (Victoria) Fuller and Jennifer (Cory) Loring; and great-grandmother to Joshua, Travis, Ryder and Emma. She had a special connection to Doug (Carly) Chapman and their children, Ian and Anna.

Also a special thank you to Tara and Sandy for their friendship and support.

She is also survived by brothers, Rex (Debi) Fuller, Tom Fuller, Terry (Gail Max), Jack Fuller, Myrle (Sue Padden) Fuller and Todd (Julie) Fuller; sisters, Sandy (Robert) Cook, Marlene King, June (Bill) Vernon, Jill Evans, Candace Taylor and Jodi Johnson; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great-nieces.

She was predeceased by her parents; husband; brother, Edward; sister, Bonita Good and Donna Anderson.

Private family services will currently be held with a celebration of life to be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the Great Valley Community Church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Mentley Funeral Home Inc., 411 Rock City St., in Little Valley.
