David Burton Obituary
David was born Dec. 29, 1957, in Olean, son of the late Kenneth W. and Geraldine Eidson Burton. He was a 1976 graduate of Limestone High School. On Dec. 16, 1978, he married Debra Lynn Jackson Burton, who survives.
Dave was formerly employed at Dresser Rand as a machinist, and Elliott Rolls Royce. Prior to his retirement he was employed at Dresser Siemens in Houston, Texas.
He was a member of the Limestone Sportsman's Club. He enjoyed golfing, gardening and his two dogs, Kiya and Duke.
Surviving in addition to his wife Debbie, of 45 years, are three children, Gina Burton of Kingston Tenn., Amy (Burton) Mills and her husband, Matt Mills of Limestone and Nicole Burton of Salamanca; one granddaughter, Madison Burton-Mills of Limestone; one sister, Tina Hernandez of Olean; several nieces and nephews; and all his wonderful friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Linda Burton; and one brother, Kenneth Burton.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday (May 13, 2024) in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., 372 E. Main St. At 6 p.m. funeral services will be held with Rev. Allen Yates officiating.
Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the Burton Family, or Service Animals for United State Veterans.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.

My sincere condolences to Debbie and the rest of Dave's family and friends. He was definitely one of the good guys. Whenever I saw him, even after all those years he lived away, he would always greet me with a smile on his face and a solid hand shake. He will be missed by many. Rest in eternal peace, David.

Sending my sincerest condolences to the Burton family. I worked with Dave at RWG in Houston. Dave was a one of a kind. He would smile ear to ear when he spoke of his family and his hometown. He was always such a wonderful person to talk to and so genuine. He was a real pleasure to work with.

My condolences to the Burton family. Dave was a joy to spend time with and he was the type of person that could make your whole day go better. I had the privilege of working with him at RWG for many years. He was a good man, and an excellent Master Machinist. It was an honor to have known him and to have been able to work with him. He will be missed.
