Bruce Kent Headley

1945 - 2021

Bruce Kent Headley, 76, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 12, 2021 with his brother Tim by his side. He was born in Falls City, Neb. on Feb. 22, 1945.
Bruce attended Gonzales Elementary, Gonzales High School and Hartnell College. In 1966, he joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in the Panama Canal as an MP for four years. At the end of his service, he came back to Salinas and worked at KSBW TV, Firestone and finally at McCormick Schilling until he retired.
Bruce loved his cars, music, and movies; and had an extensive collection of DVD's, CD's and vinyl.
The Headley family would like to thank Marty and Debbie for their caring and friendship. We are also grateful for the loving care Bruce received at Sunrise Villa in Salinas.
Bruce was soft spoken and kind to all he met, and especially loved spending holidays with his nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Zelma Headley. He is survived by his brother, Tim (Janie); sisters, Tanna (Bryan) Knutsen, and Michelle (Bruce) Cox. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Kris Headley, Pat (Lisa) Headley, Leanne (Chris) Rains, Eric (Michelle) Knutsen, Rene Phay, Jeffery Headley and Megan Douglas. He is also survived by his great-nieces and nephews, Ashton, Kyras, Peyton, Cecelia, Bodi Headley, Emma and Claire Rains.
