Jim and I were very sorry to hear of Allen's passing. We bought his Muncie home in 1993 and celebrated our wedding in his beautiful back yard. We have tried to maintain his lovely gardens and they continue to bring us much joy. The gardens are a tribute to his talent and aesthetic. God bless Allen.

Kim, Jon and family - Allen taught me so much about gardening and nature in our 7 years of working together at Christy Woods. His humor made even the hardest jobs enjoyable. My condolences to you for your loss.

Allen was a warm, compassionate, intelligent, humorous, and thoughtful person who loved people and fellowshipping with those that he cared for. He has touched so many people's lives and his wisdom has impacted my own. On occasions, he would host dinner parties and brunches at his home and loved to instill happiness inside those he loved to be around. I am so appreciative and thankful for all the numerous wonderful conversations and quality times we have shared with one another over the years during his time living in Salisbury, N.C. I will truly miss his laughter, smile, companionship, and the wisdom that he shared with me. Fly high my good friend! God has gained an angel! May God provide strength, comfort, and understanding to his family that he would always say he loved so ever much.
