Carol Waller Obituary

Carol Fran Richardson Waller was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister, and dedicated community and church member. She completed her education in Salisbury, NC area from Salisbury High School in 1975. Carol obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Winston Salem State University in May 1979. On June 23, 1984, Carol married her college sweetheart, the late Bolden Dan Waller, fondly known as “Dan”. Their union brought forth a precious daughter named Brooke Danielle, who was the center of their world. Carol had a dynamic career in the airline industry that spanned 40 years, and she retired in 2021. Carol's deep love for her family and her faith in God were evident in her life. She was a devoted servant of Christ and a dedicated Soldiers Memorial A.M.E Zion Church member. She served as a Class Leader, Stewardess Board President, and member, of the Cathedral Choir, Bible Study, and Noon Day Prayer. She even learned sign language to assist the deaf members of her congregation. Her commitment extended to the Children and Youth Ministries, including the Lay Council, Women's Home & Overseas Missionary Society, and Community Outreach. Her daughter, Brooke, was an incredible source of support during Carol's illness. Brooke's unwavering dedication to traveling regularly from the Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland areas to care for her mother, all while maintaining her job. Their bond was unbreakable, and together, they drew strength from each other and their faith in God. My prayers and condolences to Brooke and the rest of her family. I met Carol at work. She had the most beautiful smile and a wonderful way of making everyone feel at home. She will be missed but not forgotten. She is now in that great crowd of witnesses praying for you all; waiting until that great reunion, when we all will be together again.

Carol Waller was one of my Mom's best friends for decades. I was introduced to her as a little girl in Reston. VA, not long after, I would realize that her family would not only be friends to my Mom, but would become lifelong family. Carol was one of the most gracious, humble and beautiful people that I have met in my 44 years upon thia earth. I
know that she is resting with her Father in Heaven. I am better for
knowing Carol, Brooke and Dan. May God comfort your family and forever walk closely with you.

Carol was such a special person. She would light up any room she entered. Carol was a dedicated member of my home church. She always greeted me with a warm, authentic smile. She was consistent in her beautiful temperment. I know she loved God, her family, church and friends dearly. My special moment with Carol was every time we had an encounter. She will truly be missed.

I was introduced to my sweet friend at US Airways. Every February for Black History Month she and I hosted an all day feast for all employees who brought made their signature dishes. It was always a huge success. And that was all thanks to my sweet friend. I was heartbroken to hear my friend passed, I had no idea she was sick. But I do know is that she is up in heaven being her best Angel as she was here on earth. Rest easy my friend, I know you miss your Brooke, but she will be okay, I love and will miss you, Love Denise
