Charles Rogers Obituary

Charles P. “Bud” Rogers, 69, of Rockwell, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 3, 2015, surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Rowan County on Nov. 25, 1945, he was the son of the late Elizabeth Honeycutt Morgan and Starlin Ernest Rogers. Bud was educated in Rowan County Schools. He was the owner/operator of Bud's Wheel Alignment for 45 years. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Patsy Rogers, who he married on Jan. 27, 1965; sons Todd Rogers (Stacey), Scott Rogers (Kristy), Brian Rogers (Stephanie); brothers Leo Morgan (Brenda) of Kannapolis, Jack Morgan (Wanda) of China Grove, Steve Morgan (Janice) of Lynchburg, Va.; sisters Diane Pittmon of Kannapolis, Linda Hartsell (Gene) of Old Hickory, Tenn.; grandchildren Taylor, Mackenzie, Logan, Braxton, Jeremy and Jessica. Arrangements: Visitation is 4:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 9 at Charity Baptist Church, 2420 Brantley Road, Kannapolis, NC 28083. Service will immediately follow with the Rev. Garland Faw officiating. The family will receive friends at the home at other times. Memorials: May be made to Tucker Hospice House, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081; or WRNA, 633 Patterson St., China Grove, NC 28023. Had the privilege of working with Bud at Bitsy Bakery and Tire Savings.Was thrilled that Bud gave his life to Jesus ona Sunday that I invited him to church. He was sold out to god and witnessed whenever possible. Shared some good times with him. I know the family is greaving but you can rest assure that Bud is rejoicing in Heaven cancer free!
