Christopher Dale Cline, age 46, of Cleveland, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, Feb. 27, 2022. Chris was born in Man, West Virginia on Oct. 24, 1975 to Mackie Cline and Sue Lester Cline. Chris was the middle son of three boys. Chris was an excellent baseball player from an early age. He spent most of his time with his family and friends in southern West Virginia playing sports, hunting and fishing. Hunting was very special to Chris and his family. Each year he, his dad and two brothers would spend time in Weston, W.Va. deer hunting. What great memories and stories have been made during those trips. Chris also was an avid reader and enjoyed video games. Soon after graduating from Baileysville High School, Chris moved to North Carolina and began his adult life working for Fleetwood Homes and later for Sherwin Williams Paint. During those early years, Chris lived with his cousin Jimmy as well as his brother Tracey and cousin Jeff. Not long after his permanent move to North Carolina, Chris met and married Stacy Conner. Chris loved his two daughters, Krysten and Katie. He loved being at the ball field with Krysten every weekend from 1st grade to 8th grade. Chris also shared his love and a special bond with Katie through their love of music and Marvel. Chris always loved taking his girls fishing. He enjoyed his work and had been at Sherwin Williams Paint for over 20 years. Chris was preceded in death by his granny, Lois Lester; and grandfathers, Douglas Lester and Clinton Cline. Chris is survived by his wife, Stacy; daughters, Krysten Cline and Katie Cline; his father and mother, Mackie and Sue Lester Cline of Hanover, W.Va.; his older brother, Douglas Cline (Allison) of Hanover, W.Va.; and a younger brother, Tracey Cline (Heather) also of Hanover, W.Va.; nieces, Emily Cline (Doug), Erica and Molly Cline (Tracey); and his granny, Nora Cline of Hanover, W.Va. Chris is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins, Linda and Bobby Roberts (Jimmy and Jeff), Jane and Amos Cook, Kim and Robert Lockhart (Randal and Erin), Alberta and Derrick Stacy (Josh), Luella Robinson (Joe); niece, Torri Conner (James) and daughter Tacoma) and nephew, Kevin Conner. It would be hard to list all of Chris' family as he considered his friends as his family. However, Jamie Lester was his lifelong friend as well as special friend Sherry Blackledge. Arrangements: The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Sunday, March 6 at Summersett Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. in Summersett Memorial Chapel with Rev. Robert Lockhart officiating. Burial will follow at Rowan Memorial Park. Summersett Funeral Home is serving the Cline family. Online condolences may be made at
