Cynthia Amerson Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother (Gi) and friend, Cynthia Brown Amerson. She passed away on Wednesday, January 10th, 2024 into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, while surrounded by her family.

Cindy was born on August 29th, 1959 in Salisbury, NC to the late Al and Joyce Chapman Brown. She was a beacon of love, strength, and compassion. She touched the lives of everyone she knew with her warm heart and unwavering kindness. Her love knew no bounds, and she made a lasting impact on all who were fortunate enough to know her.

In addition to her parents, Cindy was preceded in death by her newborn son, Clinton Joel Strause, who she is now reunited with.

Cynthia is survived by her husband and best friend, Allen Amerson. Cindy was the love of his life. She is also survived by three daughters, Amber S. (Ryan) Hall, Courtney S. (Adam) Yoe, and Ashlynne Nicole; two sisters, Jeanne Farrell and Elizabeth Laxton; grandchildren, Holden Roach, Easton Yoe, Haisley Hall, Eli Yoe, and Hallie Hall; and three nephews and one niece.

A pillar of strength, Cindy faced life's challenges with resilience and courage. Her determination and positive spirit were an inspiration to those around her. Whether providing comfort in times of need or offering a helping hand, she demonstrated the true meaning of love through her actions.

Her devotion to family was unwavering, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and unity.

The funeral service will be held at 3:30pm on Tuesday, January 16th, 2024 in the sanctuary at St. John's Lutheran Church, Salisbury NC, with Pastor James Demmel officiating. A visitation at the church will follow the service for family and friends.

A private burial will take place in the Salisbury National Cemetery at a later date.
