Cynthia Mount Obituary

Cynthia Ann Gainey Mount, 59, of Salisbury passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023. Born in Chesterfield SC, on September 24, 1963, she was the daughter of the late Evelyn Hill and James Gainey. She graduated from Chesterfield High School, and was a member of Old Country Baptist Church in Salisbury NC. She loved the beach, her family, and keeping people happy. She enjoyed cooking and her family did too. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her nephew Taylor Gainey. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Ned Mount of 38 years, son Samson Mount of Salisbury, daughter Marah Lamb (Mark) of Salisbury, brother Caston Gainey (Kathy) of Mississippi, Carlton Gainey of Chesterfield SC, James Gainey Jr (Colleen) of Florida sister Drusilla Johnson Hungerford (Doug) of Hartsville SC and many nieces and nephews. Visitation: 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at Dan Nicholas Park under shelter #2 with a memorial service starting at 2:00 PM. Pastor Daniel Aldridge will officiate the service. Lyerly Funeral Home is serving the Mount family. Online condolences may be made at www.lyerlyfuneralhome.com.
