'Cindy' M. Pittman

CHINA GROVE - Cynthia "Cindy" McDuffie Pittman, 47, of 713 W. Ketchie St., went to be with the Lord Saturday, July 28, 2007, following a year-long battle with cancer.

Born Oct. 28, 1959, in Surry County, Mrs. Pittman was a daughter of Bobby McDuffie and Ollie Davidson McDuffie, both of China Grove. Educated in Rowan County schools, she had been employed by Pillowtex and Winn-Dixie and was a homemaker at the time of her death.

Mrs. Pittman was a charter member of Victory Baptist Church in China Grove.

In addition to her parents, surviving are her husband, Eddie Pittman of the home; daughter Gracie McDuffie of China Grove; son Bobby Williams of China Grove; stepdaughters Kristi Mill of Georgia and Brittany Pittman of Troy; stepson Jonathan Pittman of Salisbury; grandchildren Destiny McDuffie of China Grove and Kaliegh Lusk Williams of Enochville; step-grandchildren Koby Campbell and Ethan Mill of Georgia; sisters Teresa McDuffie, Tia Simmons and Tammy McDuffie, all of China Grove; brother Terry McDuffie of China Grove; and many nieces and nephews.

Service: 2 pm Tuesday at Whitley's Funeral Home in Kannapolis with the Rev. Nelson Wright officiating. Entombment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in China Grove.

Visitation: 6:30-8:30 pm Monday at Whitley's Funeral Home in Kannapolis. At other times, the family will be at the residence at 713 W. Ketchie St.

Memorials: Victory Baptist Church, P.O. Box 201, China Grove, NC 28023.

The Pittman and McDuffie families would like to thank Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County and the many friends and family members for all the love shown to our family throughout this time.
