Danny Boggs

Danny Kaye Boggs, Sr. 65, of Salisbury, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2016, at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury. He was born on Jan. 18, 1951, to the late Archie and Lucy Earnhardt Boggs in Salisbury. He attended North Rowan High School and Rowan Cabarrus Community College. Danny worked at Cannon Mills from 1975 to 2003 and then for NKG as an electrical engineer from 2006 to present, and he was self employed as an electrician. Danny was a member of Union Lutheran Church. He enjoyed shooting pool, fishing, panning for gold and metal detecting. Danny is survived by his Wife, Wanda Boggs , whom he married June 28, 1969; two sons, Danny Kaye Boggs Jr and wife Candace of Faith, Kevin Eugene Boggs and wife Winter of Gold Hill; five grandsons, Jaret and fiancée Kayla, Coty and fiancée Jenny, Tannon, Carson and Connor; granddaughter, Haileigh; two brothers, Tony Boggs and wife Kathy, and Terry Boggs; special brother, Clyde Motley and wife Dianne; two goddaughters, Atlanta and Maggie. Visitation: The family will receive friends on Friday, Sept. 2, 6-8 p.m., at Powles Staton Funeral Home, Rockwell. Service: Graveside services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 3, 10 a.m., at the Union Lutheran Church Cemetery, Salisbury, with Rev. Harold Jordan, officiating.
