My deepest condolences to the Murph family. I can only say that the music that David and the Plowboys have created has been a true inspiration to my self and members of my congregation. I have to admit that a couple of us get together and play guitar and dulcimer. The songs we most often play are from the Plowboys cd's. Our hearts are saddened when a loved one is called away. But, we can rejoice in the fact that the separation is only temporary. Oh what music there must be in the land that lies ahead. God will bless and keep you. Pastor Doug Satterlee Marklesburg, Pa.

We just learned today, 10 May, of Brother David's taking leave of the body to be present with the Lord. Praise God! He knows what is best for each of us and what is in our hearts, both at times of joy and times of sorrow. Our human hearts are broken but our spiritual hearts rejoice.

My wife and I only became aware of David and the Gospel Plowboys at the beginning of the year through their music on YouTube and their DVD and CDs. The work of the Plowboys and David's legacy regarding the group's formation and contribution to the spreading of the the good news of salvation through Christ's atoning blood are a critical part of the most important work Christians can do in these last, dark closing days - and that is to bring lost souls to Christ. The Plowboys' music is doing just that.

Our deepest condolences to David's wife, Rita, and all of his family and friends. Brother David is in a better place now where he will never experience sickness or pain again.

We who remain down here are comforted by God's Holy Word in respect to its many references to the Christian's passing to that place of many mansions where the Lamb is the light thereof.

We will see our brothers and sisters-in-Christ again soon. Meanwhile, we lean on passages such as II Tim. 1:12 and I Thes. 4:13-18.

Prayers for the family and friends of our brother. We will all be reunited in Heaven in God's good time.

Although we didn't know David for very long, we knew him well enough to know that he loved the Lord and his family with all his heart. He was one of the humblest people that I've ever met, and I'm sure his received many rewards when he reached heaven. I listen to the Gospel Plowboys CD almost everyday, His memory will live on in those songs. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Rita, his daughters and those sweet grand babies that he loved so much.

Words can not fill the void left by this incredible man. Glad we had the honor of worshipping together at Echoing Spring. We can rejoice that he got to go home, his heavenly home, and believe we will meet again on the other side, in paradise. Won't it be grand? John and I love you and will remember you in the days ahead. Rita and children, you are strong and with God's help can move forward.
