Donald Hudson Obituary

Donald Barry Hudson, 82, of Salisbury, passed away Friday, November 3, 2023 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.

Born in Salisbury on July 3, 1941, he was the son of the late James Franklin Hudson and Ruth Haywood Hudson. A 1959 graduate of China Grove High School, he attended Lenoir Rhyne University. He was employed by QC Enterprises for many years and was transferred to offices in Charlotte, Atlanta, Georgia, Cincinnati, Ohio, and Dallas, Texas. Upon retirement from his art restoration business, he returned home in 2012.

He served with the United States Army Reserves, 991st Transportation Unit, Salisbury, from 1963-1969. Barry was a member of First Baptist Church, China Grove in his youth.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, John Ross Parnell and is survived by his sister, Patsy Hudson Parnell.

A graveside service will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday (November 8) at West Lawn Memorial Park, 1350 S. Main Street, China Grove, with Rev. Joshua Copeland officiating.
