My deepest sympathies to Joan and all the members of Doris's extended families. She was a dear loving friend and mentor for all the years we were together as members of Lutheran Chapel. She was wise, vivacious, fun to be around, a highly committed Christian and a very faithful, hardworking church member. Always in the choir. Very sensitive and supportive of other people, whatever they were going through. It was always a delight to see and talk with her whenever I came back to Chapel to visit. I pray peace for the family and that Doris will rest in peace and rise in glory. I thank God for her life and witness and service.

Sorry to hear about your mom passing. Someone your dad worked and coached with came by the house. He was looking for the service and stopped by. God bless!

How she handled all her pain was a miracle. She told me once as I took her photo one day, "Shane you are one of the good ones!" I hadn't heard that in awhile and she made my day.

Dear Joan,
Please share my condolences with all your family. You all meant so much to me during my tenure at Lutheran Chapel. You continue to be in my prayers for God´s peace and comfort. I pray that you will always remember: It was in the goodness of God that your Mom was born into this world. It was by the mercy of God that she was kept all the days of her earthly life. It was through the grace of God, fully revealed in the Face of Jesus Christ our Risen Savior, that she was redeemed.
