Elizabeth Barber Obituary
Born June 24, 1933 in New York, she was the daughter of the late John Elbert Kepley and Elizabeth Catherine Becker.
Mrs. Barber is a graduate of Cleveland High School and earned her associate degree from Salisbury Business College. Mrs. Barber worked as the obituary writer at the Salisbury Post news desk for many years. She was past president of the Salisbury Pilot Club and the Norfolk Southern Wives Club. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Cleveland, NC. She enjoyed her lunch dates with friends, loved her grandkids and taking care of everyone in the family.
Along with her parents, preceding her in death is sister, Margaret Kepley.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Walter Byron “Wally” Barber, Jr., Alan Wendell Barber (Robin), John Claude Barber (Pam); grandchildren, Adam Bailey, Jana Gaudet, Corey Barber, Chase Barber; great-grandchildren, Bailey Gaudet, Hardy Gaudet, Miles Barber; and special cousin, Barbara Perrell.
Visitation will be held from 6-8pm November 14, 2023 at Summersett Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 3pm Wednesday, November 15 at Christ Episcopal Church in Cleveland, NC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Christ Episcopal Church, 3430 Old Hwy 70, Cleveland, NC 27013.

I'm so sorry to hear about Bette. She was always a special person. I've always considered her my 2nd Mom due to spending allot of time with Alan through the years.
