Frances Holshouser Obituary
CHINA GROVE - Mrs. Frances Freeze Holshouser, 86, of China Grove, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, at Lutheran Home at Trinity Oaks in Salisbury.
Born May 10, 1924, in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Jason L. and Mary Kimball Freeze.
Educated in Rowan County schools, she was a lifetime member of Mount Moriah Lutheran Church. At Mount Moriah, she was a member of the Dale Freeze Sunday School Class, Julia Bost Circle of WELCA, Happy Age Seniors and was a former member of the adult choir. She was also a Bible School teacher.
Mrs. Holshouser retired from Cannon Mills Company after 40 years of service.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Walter, Raymond and Leo Freeze.
Surviving her are her husband of 67 years, Otha Glenn Holshouser; daughters Glenda and husband Rev. Kay Overcash of China Grove and Jill Overcash and husband Randy of Salisbury; brother Eugene Freeze and wife Peggy of Salisbury; sisters Ruth Greeson of Kannapolis, Hazel Menius and Betty Sides (Earl) both of Salisbury; sisters-in-law Mary and Dot Freeze; grandchildren Tim (Dawn), Phil (Laura), Rev. Pete (Chrissy) Rod (Francine) and Darren (Laura) Overcash; and five great-grandschildren.
Visitation and Service: Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove with service Friday at 3 p.m. at Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church, with Rev. Joseph Tallent, minister. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. All other times, the family will be at the home of daughter, Kay and Glenda Overcash.
Memorials: May be made to Mount Moriah Lutheran Church, 750 Mount Moriah Church Road, China Grove, NC 28023.

Glenda and Jill, Sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is to let your Mom go home. But God will help you get through and walk with you daily. God bless and keep you in his care. You are in my prayers.
