Frankie Shelton Obituary
SALISBURY - Frankie Louellen Troutman Shelton, 78, of 250 Derek Drive, died Monday, March 9, 2009, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast, Concord.
Born Oct. 25, 1930, in Cabarrus County, Mrs. Shelton was a daughter of the late Lewis Troutman and Zula (Burris) Troutman. She had been employed as a bus monitor for the Cabarrus County School System.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Shelton, Sr., on June 16, 1978; son Alton Shelton, Jr.; and a number of brothers and sisters.
Survivors include daughter Jackie Moore and husband Phillip of Salisbury; brother Johnny Troutman of Salisbury; sisters Mickey Lowder, Kay Cook, Brenda Norris and Jeanette Southers, all of Concord; grandchildren Gina Garmon and husband Troy, Jason Moore and wife Angela and Shannon Shelton; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation and Service: Visitation is 1-1:45 p.m. Thursday, March 12 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord with the service following at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Donnie Tomlin officiating. Burial will be at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. The family meeting place will be at the home of her daughter, Jackie Moore, 8195 Old Concord Road, Salisbury.
