George McKinney Obituary

Mr. George Frank McKinney, Jr., 63, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Atrium Health- Pineville. Born October 15, 1957 in Washington DC, he was the son of the late George Frank Sr. and Erssell Butler McKinney. He was educated in the Salisbury City School System and was last employed as a stock clerk with Family Fare Store. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Alan D. McKinney. Left to cherish his memory include his wife, Valencia Jacqueline McKinney of Wadesboro; siblings, Althea M. Garner of Charlotte, Aurelia M. Campbell (Charles), Ava M. Fryar both of Salisbury, and Adriane D. Bigby of Charlotte; five stepchildren; 7 grandchildren; uncle; great uncle; great-great uncle; a host of other relatives and friends. Arrangements: Public Viewing will be Monday, October 19, 2020 from 2-5 pm at the funeral home for McKinney. Funeral will be Tuesday, October 20, 2020, 1pm in the A.R. Memorial Chapel, Noble and Kelsey Funeral Home, Inc. Interment will follow at City Memorial Park, and Rev. Nilous Avery, II, Eulogist. Memorial: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in his memory. Noble and Kelsey Funeral Home, Inc. is serving the McKinney family.
