Mr. Gonzolous Harrington, 69, passed on Sunday, August 25, 2024 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, Winston-Salem.

Born January 7, 1955 in Anson County, he was the son of Aggie Paige Harrington and the late LaSalle Harrington.

Educated in the public schools of Rowan County, he was a graduate of Salisbury High School and attended Livingstone College. Mr. Harrington received his certification from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and worked as a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer where he was owner and operated of Harrington Funeral Home, Inc. in Elkin, NC and formerly worked with Noble and Kelsey Funeral Home, Inc. His last places of employment were with Atrium Health Baptist Hospital as an Autopsy Tech and Longhorn Steakhouse in Winston-Salem.

Those who are left to forever cherish his memories are his wife, Mercedes Lewis Harrington; children, Euomarr Q. Lewis of Tampa, Fl, Enley Lewis Colbert (William) of Decature, GA, Mercedes Lewis of Kannapolis, River Lewis of Charlotte, AnnJelita Harrington of Durham, and Francescia Harrington of Kannapolis; four grandchildren; mother, Aggie Paige Harrington of Salisbury; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services are Private.

My condolences to Gonzolous´s mother and family. He was a 1972 SHS Graduate and was a "quiet soul " who always had a smile on his face. I pray that his family will always remember him as one who cared.
