Harold Faggart Obituary

Harold E. Faggart Sr.

SALISBURY - Mr. Harold Eugene Faggart, Sr., 89, passed away Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013, at Liberty Commons Nursing Center in Salisbury.

Mr. Faggart was born Dec.2, 1924 in Concord, the son of the late Ray A. Faggart and Annie VanPelt Faggart. He retired as a supervisor for Cannon Mills. Mr. Faggart was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in World War II.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Verona Lee Faggart; and son Harold Faggart, Jr.

Mr. Faggart is survived by two daughters, Ann McIntyre and husband Roger of Salisbury and Roni Lockhart and husband Dennis of Simpsonville, S.C.; son Jeff Faggart and wife Crystal of Kannapolis; nine grandchildren, Kevin Lockhart, Gregg Lockhart, Erin Faggart Cort, Amber Davidson, Bryan McIntyre, Melisa Toney, Mindy Jones, Nic Faggart and Joshua Faggart; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Service: A funeral service is scheduled for 12 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 7 at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Sam Crisp will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Lady's Funeral Home prior to the service.

Harold will be missed. His birthday was the last time I got to see him, we laughed and talked about me bringing him cakes
