Ila Ayers Obituary
ROCKWELL - Ms. Ila Loretta Ayers, 85, of Rockwell, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at Genesis of Salisbury.
Ms. Ayers was born Sept. 10, 1927, daughter of the late Chester Ayers and Anis Jennings Ayers.
Ms. Ayers was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church. She was a happy person and enjoyed life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Burton Ayers and Joe Ayers.
Ms. Ayers is survived by her brother, Bubby Ayers of Burlington; sister Ruth Maners of Rockwell; and many nieces and nephews.
Service: There will be a graveside service Thursday, Nov. 8 at 11 a.m. at Brookhill Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Darrell Norris, interim pastor of St. Peters Lutheran Church.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Peters Lutheran Church, 2670 St. Peters Church Road, Salisbury, NC 28146; or Rowan County Hospice & Palliative Care, 820 Grove St., Salisbury NC 28144.
