It is with rejoicing for him and with deep sorrow for us that we announce the passing of Mr. Issiac Cliney Jolly, 90, of Auburn, NY. Mr. Jolly went to meet Jesus on October 3, 2025. There is nothing he wanted more than to be at home with his Lord and Savior.
Issiac was the embodiment of the best of everything - father, husband, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He was always the encourager and the helper for anyone in need, no matter the time of day. His heart for people in general and his heart to see all come to know Jesus as their Savior was so big words do not exist to describe it.
He always had a twinkle in his eye, a beautiful smile, a kind word, the perfect Bible verse, a willingness to pray with and for you, a silly joke to make you laugh, and a big hug for all who knew him. His presence made you feel at peace, even when everything around you was falling apart. He was our earthly rock and anchor during life's storms; but he always pointed us toward the real rock, Jesus, as our source of help and strength.
Issiac was born October 9, 1934, in Knobs Township, Yadkin County, in the state of North Carolina; the son of the late Carl and Majorie (Margie) Jolly. He grew up surrounded by love and he had a passion for athletics and sports of all kinds. His biggest passion was his evangelism ministry and his family.
Issiac worked as an electrician for Salem Electric Company for many years and retired a brief time after the passing of his first wife, Elizabeth “Libby” Ann Jolly. Issiac moved to Salisbury, NC, where he lived twenty-two wonderful years with his second wife, Juanita “Carol” Jolly. He was a beloved member of Calvary Baptist Tabernacle Church, in Salisbury, NC, for many years.
In addition to his parents, Issiac is preceded in death by his wife, Juanita “Carol” Jolly, his sisters Sarah Kiger and Phyllis Swaim, and his brother Tommy Jolly.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Jennifer Allison Thomas, his granddaughter, Megan Ashley Martin, his great-granddaughter, Olivia Grace Martin, his sisters Gayle Holloway and Mary Smith (Bob), and numerous nephews and nieces. Issiac will be deeply missed by all who knew him and his legacy will live on through the memories shared and the lives he impacted.
A viewing will be held at Calvary Baptist Tabernacle, 3760 Stokes Ferry Rd., Salisbury, NC, 28146, on Thursday, October 16, 2025, beginning at 12:00 pm; funeral services to honor Issiac's life will begin at 1:00 pm, with Rev. Steve Holshouser, minister. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. Online condolences may be made to the family at
