Jamie Meng Obituary

Jamie Clegg Meng, 46, of Salisbury, passed away Monday, July 11, 2022 at Novant Health Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte. Born March 12, 1976 in Parkersburg, W. Va., she was the daughter of the late Cheryl Dixon Bungard and Robert Clegg and stepdaughter of the late Lowell Bungard. She was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and was an administrative assistant for Super Speed Wash. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Salisbury. She enjoyed arts and crafts. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Andy Meng whom she married Dec. 1, 2001; stepson, William Meng of Salisbury; stepdaughter, Morgan Godwin (Andrew) of Salisbury; brother, Robert Clegg (Cara) of Parkersburg, W. Va.; sisters, Tami Johnson (Rocky), Terry Shields (Louie), Cindy Clegg all of Parkersburg, W. Va., and Kimberly Frost (Kevin) of New York; grandson, Bennett Godwin; nieces and nephews, Anthony Varner (Amber), Angel Baldwin, Greg Reynolds (Taylor), Cherie Nichols, Jonathan Nichols, R.J. Clegg (Berlin), Ryan Clegg (Lisa), Justin Clegg, Katie Clegg, Ben Frost (Dakota), Jessie Frost (Ashley Ann) and Timothy Frost (Jeanette); several great nieces and nephews; and Jamie's blessings, Stephanie, Miranda and Jasmine. Visitation and Service: The family will receive friends 12:30 – 1:45 p.m. Thursday, July 14, at Summersett Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in Summersett Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Rod Kerr officiating and Robert Clegg speaking. Burial will be in City Memorial Park. Memorials: Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Playground Fund, 223 N. Fulton Street, Salisbury, NC 28144. Summersett Funeral Home is serving the Meng family.
