Jessie Baker Obituary
She was born October 5, 1939, in Wilkes County, NC, to the late James Alfred Brown and Walsie Elizabeth Billings Brown. Mrs. Baker attended Wilkes County Schools and was employed by Lowes. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Rockwell.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Z. Baker.
She is survived by her daughters, Monica Harwell (Scott) of Rockwell and Kimberly Elder (Bill) of Lakeland, FL; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will greet friends and relatives from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM on Thursday, October 16, at First Baptist Church of Rockwell.
The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM on Thursday, at the church, with the Rev. Matthew Laughter officiating.
Burial will follow at 2:30 PM on Thursday, at Mountlawn Memorial Park in North Wilkesboro.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Rockwell, P.O. Box 756, Rockwell, NC 28138.
