Joe Goodman Obituary
ALBEMARLE - Joe Glenn Goodman, age 59, of Rowland Road, passed away Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
Born June 17, 1950, in Stanly County, he was the son of the late Raymond Glenn Goodman and Jennie Sue Willingham.
He enjoyed racing his 1972 Vega, blue grass music, going to the mountains and spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed going to the fish house on Thursday evenings.
Joe Glenn Goodman is survived by his wife of 27 years, Kathy Marie Troublefield Goodman of Albemarle; sons, Michael Goodman, Joey & wife Amy Goodman, Dennis Goodman, Jeffrey Dan Goodman, all of Albemarle; grandchildren, Christina, Tabitha, Michael Ryan, Tyler, Brandon, Cody, Derrick, Samantha and Tyler; great-granddaughters, Alisa and Dixie Marie; step-father, Fred Willingham of Albemarle; daughter at heart, Danette Howell; many special friends and family members; and his beloved pets, Banjo and Jackie.
Visitation: 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20 at Hartsell Funeral Home Albemarle.
Service: Memorial service will held at 12 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24 at Goodman's Inc., 465 W. Main St., Albemarle.
Memorials: Memorials may be made to The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke, Duke University Medical Center, Trent Drive, 047 Baker House, Durham, NC 27710 or The Tucker Hospice House, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
