Joe Herman Poole Jr.

Joe Herman Poole, Jr., 78, of Salisbury, entered his Heavenly home Sunday, Jan. 23, 2022 at Presbyterian Hospital-Main in Charlotte. He was born March 30, 1943 in Rowan County to the late Joe Herman Poole, Sr. and Ella Oddie Poole. Joe was a 1962 graduate of East Rowan High School and in the Army Reserves. He was owner of Tri-Electric and a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church of Salisbury. Joe loved bird hunting and enjoyed farming cattle. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his sister, Flossie Peele. Joe is survived by his wife, Linda Honeycutt Poole, whom he married Nov. 22, 1964; two sons, Joe Brian (Sandra) Poole of Salisbury, and Gregory Scott (Angie) Poole of Salisbury; grandchildren, Katelynne, Sydney (Roby), Samantha, Logan, Zora, Noah, and Jace; two sisters, Shirley Cranford, and Patsy (Randy) Taylor; and brother, Jerry Poole. Arrangements: The family will greet friends and relatives on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. at Trinity Wesleyan Church, 2200 Mooresville Road, Salisbury, NC 28147. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 26, in the Trinity Wesleyan Church, Salisbury, with Rev. Randy Addison, officiating. Due to the current pandemic, it is asked that everyone wear a mask and practice social distancing out of respect for the family and those attending the service.
